Shevchenko signs four-year deal

Andriy Shevchenko has completed his move to Chelsea from AC Milan for a club record fee of around £30m.

The 29-year-old signed a four-year contract on Wednesday after agreeing personal terms and passing a medical.

“I am going from one big club to another and joining a team of champions,” Shevchenko said.

What does shev mean that he needs to learn english in order to be able to tell his children how much he loves them? They only speak english?

This can only be good. With the amount of strikers we’ve hoarded in the past week, surely next season we’re going to be playing with two up front next season, with Drogba, Kalou or Guddy going in the hole behind Shevchenko. Third Premiership on its way?

One little complaint that doesn’t detract from the power of this signing is that our first team has nigh on 30 players in it at the moment. A bit much?

    Great signing :D :D

Looks like there will be 3 or 4 departures as well now, i can see Guddy and C.Cole leaving. Along with Huth and maybe Glen Johnson.

And please god no don’t let us sign RC, bring Bridgey back!!

I’d prefer us to sign Ashley Cole than Roberto Carlos, to be honest. We’ve been bringing in some more experienced players over the past few weeks, but we don’t need anymore. We can’t turn into the London Galacticos.

Yeh I think RC would be a wrong choice for us. Bridgey is good too. Just give him chance to prove his worth. And if huth n glen johnson is to leave dont you think there will be shortage of defenders for us, as there is speculation tht Gallas might also leave although Jose is keen to keep him? I think atleast one defender should on the list now for Jose.
