Ferreira finalises move to Chelsea
Porto have confirmed that the deal taking their defender Paulo Ferreira to Chelsea has been completed.
The European Champions announced to the Portuguese stock exchange that they had sold Ferreira to the West London giants.
Ferreira - who started Portugal’s first game of Euro 2004 - met with Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich on Monday, when he concluded his move.
Chief executive Peter Kenyon and new Blues boss - his former coach at Porto - Jose Mourinho were also in attendance as the long awaited deal was sealed.
Chelsea have paid €20 million (£13.2 million) for the right back, who is likely to be just the first of a number of arrivals from Estadio do Dragao.
The 25-year-old - full name Renato Paulo Ferreira - only joined Porto in 2002 after moving from Vitoria Setubal.
Ferreira began his career with Estoril, before moving to Setubal in 2000.

before any1 doubts him. Give hhim a chance to prove himself wearin the blues shirt. i kno he didnt hav a very impressive euro 2004 tournament but that may push his determination to show us chelsea fans that at his best he deserves to play for chelsea. also glenny would push himjself inorder to get a first team place in the team and this would surely help the squad.
